How To Be Saved According to the Bible

The most important question a person will ever ask is this: How to be saved?
Not saved from inconvenience.
Not saved from temporary trouble.
But saved from sin, judgment, and eternal separation from God.
The Bible gives a clear and simple answer. Salvation is not earned. It is received. And it
is available to you today.

Why Do We Need to Be Saved?
Before understanding how to be saved, we must understand why salvation is
necessary.
The Bible says:
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” -Romans 3:23
Every person has sinned. Sin is not just wrongdoing — it is falling short of God's
holiness.
Because of sin, there is a consequence:
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our
Lord.” – Romans 6:23
The payment for sin is death — spiritual separation from God spent in Hell for Eternity.
But God offers a gift: eternal life through Jesus Christ.

You Cannot Be Saved by Works
Many people believe that being religious, doing good deeds, or trying harder will earn
salvation. But the Bible is clear:
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.” – Ephesians 2:8–9

Salvation is:
 By grace
 Through faith
 Not of works
You cannot earn it. You cannot deserve it. It is a gift from God.Titus 3:5 confirms this:
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he
saved us…”

No church membership, baptism, morality, or effort can save you. Only Christ can.
Jesus Paid the Price for Your Sin God does not ignore sin — He paid for it.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died
for us.” – Romans 5:8
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, lived a sinless life and died on the cross for your sins. He
was buried and rose again the third day.

Are You Ready To Be Saved?

If you understand that you are a sinner and that Jesus Christ died and rose again for
you, you can call upon Him right now.
We find in Scripture that people are saved by trusting, believing, and placing their faith
in what Christ has already done— not in what they can do for Him.
The Bible says:
“But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is
counted for righteousness.” -Romans 4:5
Salvation is not earned by effort. It is received by faith.
Jesus Himself said:
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” -John 6:47
Salvation is not about repeating perfect words. It is about trusting Christ from your heart
— relying fully upon His finished work on the cross.
