Encouraging Bible Verses for Difficult Times

Life can bring seasons of uncertainty, loss, fear, and discouragement. During those times, we need more than positive words, we need the promises of God. His Word reminds us that even when life is difficult, God is faithful, present, and in control. There are so many great encouraging verses in the Bible, but here are few to encourage you today! 

 

Psalm 46:1
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

When trouble comes, we don’t have to face it alone. God Himself is our refuge and strength.

 

Isaiah 41:10
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God.”

God doesn’t promise that we will never face difficult circumstances, but He does promise that He will be with us through them.

 

Psalm 34:18
“The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart.”

When your heart is broken, God is not distant. He draws near to those who are hurting.

 

Philippians 4:6-7 

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

 

You may not understand what God is doing today, but you can trust the God who does.

When life is difficult, hold on to God’s Word. His promises are still true, His presence is still near, and He is still faithful.
