Salvation
One of the main purposes of this ministry is to prompt you to consider what will happen to you after you die. Death is not a pleasant topic, but it is necessary because of its certainty. With that being said let’s look at some important areas for you to consider:
Your Need:
Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. God requires the shedding of blood for the payment of sin, But not just any blood will do. It must be the blood of an innocent sacrifice. That innocent sacrifice was Jesus Christ.
Your Nature:
Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: You’re not a sinner because of the things you do. A sinner is what we all are. We are born with a sin nature. That’s why you cannot change your ways to achieve salvation. Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Your Necessity:
John 3:7 Ye must be born again. It’s not about adopting a lifestyle, going through a ceremony, etc. In essence, it’s not about religion, it’s about having a restored relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
How is this accomplished?
Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, It’s about putting your trust in what Jesus has already done for you. He died on the cross for your sins, He was buried in a tomb and raised the third day. If you believe that He did those things as payment for YOUR sins, here is what you do. Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. By calling on his name for salvation, you are exercising faith in what he has done. If this tract has been part of your Salvation would you please contact us and let us know. Rom 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Do Good People Go To Heaven?
To this question most people would say “Yes,” but the sad reality is “NO”.
Why:
Rom 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Rom 3:11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. Rom 3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
The sad reality is that nothing we have done or can do will ever make us good enough to enter heaven:
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
You can see, if you are a good person, God’s Word declares that your goodness is not sufficient to merit Heaven. Another interesting fact found in the Bible is that you are not really as good as you think you are.
Ecclesiastes 7:20 “For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.
The good news is that while you are not good enough, Jesus is and He has paid your sin debt when He died on Calvary.
1Jn 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. Will you stop trusting in your goodness and put your faith and trust in Him today? If you will, He will save you.
Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.
Is Going To Church Enough?
Here in the south, going to church is very common. While going to church can be a good thing, unfortunately, it’s not enough. Nowhere in the Bible does church membership, baptism, confirmation, or the sacraments obtain salvation. Jesus told the most religious man in the Bible:
John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. Being born again is a reference to receiving Biblical salvation.
The best thing about Biblical salvation is that it produces EVIDENCE so you can be assured that you have it!
1 Jn 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
Did you read that? You can know you are saved! You don’t have to hope so; you can KNOW SO! You don’t have to base it on your FEELINGS; you can prove it by the FACTS of the Bible!
Paul said: 2 Cor. 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
What Are Some Evidences Of Being Saved?
EVERY Saved Person Becomes A New Creature!
2 Cor. 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. EVERY Saved Person Receives The Holy Spirit!
Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
EVERY Saved Person Experiences Chastisement!
Heb 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
